Strange Attraction
Here is an example of a photo which, technically, has nothing going for it. It’s poorly exposed, suffers from extreme noise, camera shake, and is out of focus. And yet I can’t help being attracted to this image. It’s so unlike everything I’m usually going for, so in a way, I see in this photo what I see in other people’s work: an idea completely outside myself.

G: a portrait
G is an architect friend of mine. He wanted a head-shot for his firm back in Italy, so we shot this in Trinity Bellwoods park.
