Avedon’s Outdoor Studio

This was an attempt to recreate the techniques employed by Richard Avedon in his American West Project. Image was made outdoors on a white seamless using natural light only. This was not, like Avedon, taken on a large format camera, but on my digital SLR. Images taken in the same session with a Hasselblad 500c/m (medium format film) will be revealed shortly after having them developed. This is Brian, his chair, and his Hasselblad.
