Froyo Reflection
I shot a roll of film for the first time in over 15 years. This was taken on Allison‘s Canon A-1 with Kodak Portra VC, ISO400. This is one of my favorites. More to come.

Avedon’s Outdoor Studio
This was an attempt to recreate the techniques employed by Richard Avedon in his American West Project. Image was made outdoors on a white seamless using natural light only. This was not, like Avedon, taken on a large format camera, but on my digital SLR. Images taken in the same session with a Hasselblad 500c/m (medium format film) will be revealed shortly after having them developed. This is Brian, his chair, and his Hasselblad.

Alienation and Discomfort in the 3-D image: The [new] rise and fall of 3-D
Since there is certainly buzz in Hollywood regarding 3-D cinema, and perhaps a growing backlash from critics and film scholars such as Roger Ebert, I thought it might be appropriate to post an essay I wrote for a theory class on the inevitable death of 3-D. It’s not particularly profound, but I think the topic deserves discussion. It also applies to photography in some ways. Feel free to agree or disagree in the comments.
