Toronto Criterium Carnage

Got out to see the Toronto Crit race this evening, and even managed to capture a great crash as it was happening. Luckily, everyone walked away from this one fine. Followed not too far behind is the ridiculous pace car. This is why I love my new 40D so much, with 6.5fps up to 56 frames.

Major St. Fire

I got a call at work from Allison, telling me that the row of houses behind us was on fire. I wasn’t totally surprised, since I spotted a roofer with a flame-thrower that morning while taking my vitamins in the kitchen. I rushed home when I could, and took a boat-load of photos (~800, which may mean I have shutter-madness). I was pleasantly surprised to see that a large majority of them turned out. Too many of them perhaps, as picking the best ones was really difficult. The conditions were pretty much perfect (which I feel bad saying), with overcast skies, and a good contrast of colors and shades. Most of these are straight from the camera. The first two below are credited to Allison, who was on the ball enough to catch it in full roar.

BFF trailer photos

Here are some of the pics from the filming of the Bicycle Film Fest trailer. Sadly, the E in the photos is not me. But you may recognize Toby as the letter B. Most of these were shot at 50mm, f/1.4, ISO800, handheld. To see the completed trailer, go here.
